Photography is everywhere; in advertisement, in homes, lobby’s of hotels, etc. It’s no surprise that there are many different approaches to photography to accommodate each individual. To list a few, there’s black and white, aerial, panoramic, natural, and amateur.
Black and white is a very classic, if not the most classic, way to photograph something. It’s most popular for its nostalgic feel and look of ‘old time glamour’. Black and white photography most represents boudoir shots, cars, or even romantic photographs. Wedding photography is one of the main uses for black and white photography, but it’s also applied to put a serious tone on certain topics; it’s usually used seriously when in advertisements.
Aerial is, personally, one of my favorite kinds of photography. A lot of people call this the ‘birds eye view’ simply because it’s so high above everything, you may as well be a bird. Aerial photography captures city landscapes and historical tourist attractions-like Mt. Rushmore. Post cards use a lot of aerial photographs when show casing specific aspect of the place visited; the most popular example would be one from Las Vegas.
Real Estate photography leads to increased competition within the photographic sector. Should you need resources about property photography, take a look at the Photography For Real Estate courses. Think of what else the large world of the Net can teach you concerning photography!
Panoramic is one that has slowly become more adaptable. Most smart phones come with a feature to take a panoramic on their camera, but rarely will it turn out professional looking. Panoramic photography is incredibly popular with real estate photography. Real estate photography is known for beautiful furnishing and a good angle on the yards; the interiors are usually captured using a panoramic view and then split up to show case more important parts of the property. Panoramic’s are also used in group photos, like graduating class pictures or team photos.
Natural photography is one of the easiest to do. This focuses on anything outside of the urban setting. It’s more popular in the sense of trying to promote wildlife protection and the preservation of natural habitats. This photography flaunts the beauty of the forests, the importance of ice caps and how exotic animals can really be. A lot of bird watchers, and television shows that focus on animal life and nature use this kind of photography; think Animal Planet, or even sometimes History channel.
Amateur is the one photography style that everyone experiences. This is the kind of photography you do when you take pictures on your phone, or on vacation. It’s a very relaxed way to capture a moment, and is always the cheapest to do. What’s really fun about this style of photography is that, since there’s no expectations to make the pictures perfect, you can really photograph anything you want. While some use this to take ‘selfies’ a lot also use it for birthday parties, graduation walks, and even at a wedding reception.
